  i've been thinking a lot lately about how much i've changed over the last year.

  i've only been out of the borg for a year but i've changed so much.

  my father called me the other day and told me that he found out that my husband has been going on these xjw boards and wanted to know how i felt about it.

  one of the local congregations is having a farewell "concert" for their co who's leaving.

  of course, the book study conductor felt obligated to take control by appointing himself screener of all performances before the event (how shocking!

  Clumsy Chariot

  you may have heard about that celestial chariot at the meetings or a$$emblies.

  this is in reference to the book of ezekiel, and when they go through that book, that chariot is commonly referred to.

  it is described as being infinitely maneuverable and having eyes on all its tires, which are 3-d.. the real joke is that the watchtower society claims to be that chariot.

  I remember seeing the picture of this wheel in one of the publications when I was a kid. The eyes all over and the description seemed really creepy, reinforcing the fear factor into me.

  That chariot must be whirling around so much, I hope God installed a few barf bags

  dear all,.

  those of you who have posted here regularly for the past four years have helped me immensely in my recovery from watchtower and have shared with me in my journey.

  you will also know that, after winning my battle with watchtower (save for one daughter who is still stuck fast in the org and shunning the rest of us), i have been fighting an even greater battle these past three years - cancer!.

  Depressed witness going door to door

  this morning i saw a witness mother and her son heading out into service.

  from the area they were in i think they were going to be doing some street corner work.

  i was stopped at a light when they walked in front of my car.

  Welcome Chad! Glad you joined!

  I started going from door to door when I was 10 also. But at the time, I thought it was fun and got a lot of attention. They love to use happy kids in the congregation as an example . By the time I turned 18, I'd really started hating it, but had to force myself.

  i hated commenting because of it...i hated giving talks on the main school, .

  i hated hearing my own voice...,my voice always sounded like i was scared shitless lol.. anyone else?

  Absolutely. I hate speaking in front of others. They always tell you that you'll get used to it. Never did.

  Confidentiality and the elders.

  while talking to a jw elder: if you specifically state that you are speaking to him as and elder, and that you want the conversation to be classified.

  is he legally required to keep it secret, like a church confessional or doctor/patient type thing?.

  I never had a bad personal experience, but as I remember, after someone was DF'd or DA'd, eventually you always found out why, sometimes with tid-bits about the JC conversation. The source would have to be the elders.

  The Colour Green / Am I just a cynic: Re Earth Day.

  first, i want to state that i am not against protecting our planet and i think we all should do what we can to conserve and be more environmentally conscientious.. i dont have facts but this whole earth day concert doesnt seem to sit right with me.

  is the green earth about the environment or is it about green money, are some environmentalists really green bigots or am i green with envy?

  im sure there are many who are sincere but have they thought out what this event contributed to the pollution of the earth?

  That reminds me: When Black-Eyed Peas were playing in London (yes I did sometimes watch it) I saw a sign on stage that read Good News. How much did it cost the Watchtower to pay for this ad? Just kidding!

  I saw that sign too! It made me laugh. I watched the show for the music, but a few tips on how to save energy and save some $$ is always good.
